The estate bodystyle means the wheelbase (the distance between the front and rear wheels) of the Sports Tourer is 57mm longer than that of the regular Astra. The boot is larger at up to 608 litres with the rear seats in place, which is 44% more than the hatchback, and folding them down increases space to 1,634 litres. The new Astra Sports Tourer is actually smaller than the outgoing model, thanks to a shorter front overhang and improved packaging. For added versatility, Vauxhall will also offer the Astra Sports Tourer with an Intelli-Space boot floor. Only available on non-hybrid models, this adjustable boot floor can be tilted to create separate compartments for luggage or even removed for even more space.
